1201 J Street is our 51,854 Square Foot flex office Building in the heart of downtown sacramento. Just blocks from the Capitol building, state government offices and the Convention Center, it is conveniently located in a thriving business and employment hub. 

The building sits at the intersection of two prominent thoroughfares, J Street and 12th Street, and offers excellent vehicular and transit access. J Street is a major artery with a daily traffic count of 20,000 vehicles. 12th Street is located along the alignment of Sacramento’s Blue Light Rail Line. With a Walk Score of 96 and a Bike Score of 98, 1201 J Street is also very accessible to pedestrians and bicyclists. 

Originally built in the 1950s, 1201 J Street features two full floors of flex office space with shared workspaces and private offices, as well as meeting rooms available to the general public. In addition to the flex office component, the project features approximately 10,000 SF of ground-floor retail, a rooftop event space that can accommodate 200 guests, and underground parking.

We acquired the building in July 2021 midway through a renovation that began in 2020 and was completed in late 2021. We are operating 1201 J Street in collaboration with our experienced partners CENTRL Office, who operates the building’s flex office component. Jen Robards Events manages sales and operations at Aurora rooftop event space.

1201 J Street is seven blocks from UD+P’s 1208 Q Street project, a 51-unit market rate apartment building projected for completion in 2023.
