In FEBRUARY 2020, the City of Lake OSwego selected UD+P to Lead the redevelopment of three parcels in the heart of downtown Lake Oswego, Oregon, a highly desirable close-in Portland Suburb.
Referred to as “North Anchor” because of its strategic location at the north end of downtown’s retail and restaurant core, this 1.07-acre, city-owned site on the northeast end of B Avenue is a key pedestrian thoroughfare. It is within close proximity to several recent and planned investments, including The Windward, a mixed-use project with over 200 market-rate apartments units and ground-floor retail, Beacon, a new mixed-use building with retail, office and a high-end event space, and Mercantile Village. Lake Oswego’s new City Hall, currently under construction at the corner of A Avenue and 3rd Street and scheduled for completion in 2021, is also nearby.
UD+P has assembled an experienced team of designers, engineers, and consultants to ensure the project will deliver the utmost value to the Lake Oswego community and honor the city’s development standards, rich history and culture through exceptional design. Our proposed development plan includes a 60-room boutique hotel with publicly accessible, ground-floor dining and lounge areas, and a residential component of approximately 80 apartments designed to accommodate urban lifestyles. Additional plan elements include ground floor retail along B Avenue, designed to activate the pedestrian realm and provide neighborhood and community goods and services, as well as covered off-street parking.
